Curtis Mitchell

With over 29 years in commercial construction, Curtis Mitchell specializes in general contracting and construction management. He holds a BA in Business Finance and Business Administration and has led project management and estimating for 20 years. His experience includes 14 years in safety management and overseeing projects up to $9.5 million, with a cumulative total of $24 million.
Curtis enjoys lake time, golfing, hunting, and officiating basketball and football. Most of all, he loves supporting his kids, grandkids, and nieces at their sporting events.
Gary Shelton
Project Superintendent
With 38 years in the industry and a BA in Construction Science, Gary Shelton has managed projects ranging from $10,000 to $4.5 million. His portfolio includes J&J Drainage Manufacturing, Kansas State Fairgrounds, Horizon Mental Health Center, and Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
Gary enjoys fishing and hunting. He also likes watching crime drama movies. Gary has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 23 years, and they have one son, Denver.
Tyler England
Project Superintendent
Tyler England brings 21 years of construction experience, including 15 as a superintendent. Holding a BA in Construction Science, he has managed projects up to $11.5 million, including HTeaO, Data Center Inc., Salt City Brewery, and Fairfield High School Gymnasium.
Tyler enjoys golfing, spending time at the lake, and watching his four kids, Trae, Tate, Teagan, and Thaddeus, play sports. He thrives on challenges and takes pride in proving that 'can’t' can be done.
Tim Cherry
Project Superintendent
With 36 years of experience, Tim Cherry is dedicated to quality craftsmanship, with a strong focus on doors and precision work. His expertise ensures high standards on every project, contributing to MBC’s continued success.
Tim has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 23 years. They have five children and one granddaughter. Tim is passionate about fitness and spends much of his time at the gym, where he finds peace and motivation. He also enjoys camping and playing basketball in his free time.
Carson Frank
Project Superintendent
Carson Frank has five years of construction experience, including two as a project superintendent since joining MBC in 2020. He has managed projects up to $200,000, with work on Hutchinson Clinic and various tenant finishes.
Outside of work, Carson enjoys fly fishing, restoring classic pickup trucks, and working on motors. He is an avid baseball fan who enjoys attending Kansas City Royals games, though he also follows the New York Yankees. In his personal life, Carson looks forward to starting a family with his longtime girlfriend, Molly.
Alicia Ochs
Administrative
Alicia Ochs has been the MBC Office Manager since April 2012 and has worked in the construction industry since 1990. She previously served as the Executive Officer for the Hutchinson Builders Association from 2001 to 2018. With a background in Business Administration from Wichita State University (1998), Alicia brings extensive experience in office management and industry leadership.
Alicia enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on the KC Chiefs and Royals, attending auto races, cooking, and crafting. She has been married to her husband Danno for 28 years, and has two sons, Daniel and Nathan, and a Dachshund named Brutus.
Jason Chastain

Jason has been associated with MBC Construction for over a decade. He has extensive experience in construction, with a focus on flooring, installation, and full home renovations. He has worked on a wide range of projects, from simple remodels to complex new home constructions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. His expertise in flooring and design led to the establishment of MBC Flooring & Design in 2019, further enhancing MBC’s service offerings.
Apart from working, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and two girls. He enjoys the outdoors, fishing, boating, hunting, camping, shooting, woodworking, and traveling.
John Glass
Owner | MBC Roofing and Restoration
With over 40 years of experience in residential and commercial building, John Glass is a fourth-generation carpenter with a deep passion for insurance claims. He enjoys helping clients secure fair settlements and restore their properties to better than original condition. Throughout his career, he’s worked on high-profile projects such as the Apollo Gallery at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center and multiple home builds and remodels.
John has been shooting firearms since the age of 5 and now competes in handgun and rifle events like steel challenge and IPSC. He is also dedicated to his family, including his wife, Wynetta, two daughters, and two grandchildren, and loves spending time with them whenever possible.
